What to Expect

In this 2.5-hour deep dive, author and instructor Deb Burger guides you through the secrets of color harmony and practical swatch magic:

  • Hour 1: Color Theory Demystified 

    Explore the color wheel and learn the principles of contrast, temperature, and value so you can mix and match shades with complete confidence.

  • Next 30 Mins: Personal Guided Selection 

    Put your new knowledge right to work! With expert guidance from Deb curate your perfect palette,

  • Final Hour: Hands-On Knitting! 

    Cast on the Mosaic Knitted Cup Cozy ("Mug Hugger" pattern by A Little Knitty). You'll discover how changing which yarn serves as your Main Color, Contrast, or Accent can completely transform the exact same three shades!

We will use multicolor granny squares as inspiration, and we'll explore how dramatic the exact same three colors can look depending on which one you choose as your Main Color (MC), Contrast, or Accent color!

Workshop Details & Supplies

  • Duration: 2.5 Hours

  • Pattern Included: Mug Hugger (We’ll provide printed pattern notes with a few handy corrections already prepped for you!).

  • Yarn & Materials: We supply the yarn for your project!

  • What to Bring:

    • US #7 circular needle (any length) OR two US #7 double-pointed needles (DPNs).
