Lightweight Japanese cotton lawn—smooth, crisp drape with large periwinkle and yellow florals outlined in bold black; playful, polished, perfect for shirts, dresses & pjs.

Our Large Floral Print Japanese Cotton Lawn is a Japanese-milled, lightweight 100% cotton with a soft and smooth hand and a crisp drape. The print is unapologetically graphic: oversized periwinkle and sunny yellow blooms sketched in strong black linework on a contrasting white ground. Light and breathable, this lawn is ideal for statement button-ups, shirtdresses that sway, elevated tops, and cheerful pajamas. Almost fully opaque, no lining is required for most uses unless full opacity is required.
Made in Japan by a dedicated mill producing high-quality textiles since 1999.  They prioritize domestic production to champion Japanese textile expertise and skilled makers, and to reduce the carbon footprint associate with long-distance transportation across the manufacturing chain.

Care Instructions

Wash - Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colors, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care - It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road. Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot. More delicate cottons like voile, double gauze or embroidered cottons should be washed by hand or on the delicate cycle.

Fabric Tips - Use a hot iron when pressing.
