We are beyond excited to welcome the legendary writer, tech editor, teacher, and designer KATE ATHERLEY for a game-changing workshop:
✨ Math for Knitters: Solving the Knitters’ Number Puzzles ✨
Ever look at a pattern and feel like you need an advanced degree in algebra just to finish a sleeve? You’re not alone! Join us in person to watch at the shop or virtually via Zoom to unlock all the secrets behind those tricky numbers.
💡 What You’ll Master:
- How Math Fits Into Pattern Reading: Turn counting and tracking into second nature so you can knit with complete control!
- Deciphering Pattern Jargon: Easily decode head-scratchers like “Decrease every 8 rows 10 times” and “Increase 12 sts evenly across the row.”
- Yarn Math Magic: Learn to calculate yardage in leftover partial skeins and make sure you always buy enough yarn for your dream projects.
- Demystifying Gauge: Discover what gauge really means, how to measure it accurately, and what to do when you just can’t match it.
